Dandelion root is one of nature's most underrated superherbs — a gentle but powerful tonic for your liver, digestion, and kidneys, rich in prebiotic fibre and essential nutrients. Frontier's certified organic, cut and sifted root is sourced from Bulgaria and repackaged by SuperfoodsNZ into a convenient 100g resealable pack. USDA Organic, kosher, non-irradiated.
Why
Used for centuries in European, Chinese, and Ayurvedic traditions, dandelion root is that rare herb that works on multiple levels at once. Its natural bitter compounds stimulate bile and digestive enzymes, helping your liver and gallbladder do their job more efficiently — making it a go-to herb after rich meals, or for anyone wanting to support their body's natural detox pathways. It's also a gentle natural diuretic that supports healthy kidney function and fluid balance, while being unusually high in potassium to replenish what's lost. And thanks to its high inulin content, dandelion root actively feeds your good gut bacteria — acting as a prebiotic that supports a healthy, thriving microbiome. On top of all that, it's genuinely nutritious: packed with vitamins A, C, K, and B-complex, plus iron, calcium, magnesium, and zinc. Brew it as a tea, make a decoction, or use it in tinctures — it's one of the most versatile herbs in your pantry.
